About
I'm Pedro Nascimento, Co-founder at Findly (YC S22), where we're building the future of business intelligence through conversational AI. My journey spans from competitive programming and math to building analytics and recommendation systems at Google and Twitter.
I wrote my first lines of code when I was 13 and quickly found myself immersed in the world of programming and mathematics, competing — and winning medals — at national-level contests. My passion for problem-solving led me to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in just one year.
During my time at university, I became fascinated by Machine Learning. That curiosity grew into a research path, and I pursued a Master’s degree, focusing on the challenge of Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) — teaching machines to understand how we use energy without intrusive measurements.
In 2016, I joined Google in London, where I spent years building large-scale analytics systems for Ads. At Twitter, I led the Analytics and Recommendations team, helping creators and small businesses succeed on the platform.
The idea for Findly came from a simple observation: despite having more data than ever, most business decisions are still made on intuition rather than insights. Data analysis remained locked behind complex dashboards and required specialized skills.
In 2019, I published “Programador de Elite: Como sair do absoluto zero e trabalhar nas melhores empresas do mundo” (Elite Programmer). The book became an Amazon bestseller in Brazil and has helped thousands of developers level up their careers.
My approach to technology is grounded in strong theoretical foundations with practical applications. I believe the best technical solutions are invisible to users.
